The Three Angels Message

The Three Angels Message

The First Angel - Revelation 14:6, 7 -

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountain of waters.

Can you make the connections in the Bible scripture to the sub- heading's below?

The CALL TO WORSHIP

 Jeremiah 10:11,12; Psalms 95:3-6, Revelation 4:10-11, Exodus 20:8-11,  Ezekiel 20:12

 The STANDARD

 ž2 Corinthians 5:10, James 2:1-12, Ecclesiastes 12:13,14.

 The JUDGEMENT

 žDaniel 7:9,10, Acts 17:31, Daniel 8:14, Mark 1:14,15

The feedback from the church congreagation were:

A Call to Worship:

What God has created, without Him it would not exist, He set aside a day for us to worship, focus on Him and realise what He has done for us.

The Standard:

James tells the standard we will be judged by, how we treat the poor and the rich. God set the royal law, the law of liberty whereby which we are judged which is God’s character. In giving him glory we should live out His character in our lives.

The Judgment:

Jesus died for us therefore we will be judged, we have to be cleansed before the day of judgement. The time will come and it cannot be stopped.

The Second Angel - Revelation 14: 8 -

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Can you make the connections in the Bible scripture to the sub-headings below?

The FALL OF ANCIENT BABYLON and MODERN BABYLON

The CUP OF CHRIST and the CUP OF BABYLON

The CALL TO COME OUT

The feedback from the church congregation were:

Fall of Ancient & Modern Babylon:

In the same way that ancient Babylon fell at their zenith of achievement, God Himself will get rid of modern Babylon and their false worship.

The Cup of Christ & Babylon:

The cup of Christ was His suffering and death, also that His spilt blood is the only blood by which we can be saved. Cup of Babylon represents ultimate evil.

 The Call To Come Out:

Babylon: the evil and false worship will easily be destroyed, we are called to come out and not follow it.

The Second Angel - Revelation 14: 9-12

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of he holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:  And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever:  and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image [the lost], and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.  Here is the patience of the saints [the saved]; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Can you make the connections in the Bible scripture to the sub-headings belows?

Who is the BEAST

FALSE WORSHIP ENFORCED

The POWER BEHIND THE BEAST

The feedback from the church congregation were:

Who Is the Beast?

The Roman Catholic system, the pope, the EU state. Combination of church and state.

 False Worship Enforced:

The people of God are given an ultimatum to worship falsely or be killed. The church and government will join to enforce this false worship.

 The Power behind the Beast:

The dragon – Satan who fell from “the great light bringer” to “Satan the king of Babylon”.

žGo therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen

What happens when we die?

What the church congregation have shared that they have heard others say about death:

Reincarnation

Hell

Heaven

Purgatory

Ghosts

Zombies

THE END – only one life, no resurrection

What other religious / beliefs the church congregation have discussed during this programme:

Muslim

Death is the complete end of physical life and the beginning of a period of rest until the day of resurrection when Allah will judge the living and the dead. Many Muslims believe that the righteous are able to see visions of God after death and that the wicked see visions of hell. Except for these possible visions of heaven or hell, Muslims believe the soul remains in a kind of "soul sleep" until Judgment Day. When the Day of Judgment arrives, everyone is judged according to their deeds in life. Many Muslims believe that non-Muslims can attain heaven only after a period of purification in the fires of purgatory

Hindu

Hinduism believes in the rebirth and reincarnation of souls. Death is therefore not a great calamity, not an end of all, but a natural process in the existence of soul as a separate entity, by which it reassembles its resources, adjusts its course and returns again to the earth to continue its journey. In Hinduism death is a temporary cessation of physical activity, a necessary means of recycling the resources and energy and an opportunity for the soul to review its programs and policies. When a person dies, his soul along with some residual consciousness leaves the body through an opening in the head and goes to another world and returns again after spending some time there. What happens after the soul leaves the body and before it reincarnates again is a great mystery

Buddhist

A Buddhist looks at death as a breaking apart of the material of which we are composed.  However Buddhism does not look at death as a continuation of the soul but as an awakening.  Dying and being reborn has been compared by some Buddhist as a candle flame.  When the flame of one lit candle is touched to the wick of an unlighted candle, the light passes from one candle to another.  The actual flame of the first candle does not pass over but is responsible for lighting the second candle. Buddhism asserts that all beings live beyond the various fluctuations of this life. Death is merely a passage to rebirth in another realm such as the human world, a pure land or the flowering of the ultimate nature of the mind.

Spiritism

All people that have been loved continue to live after physical death on another plane, taking our spirit (ghost), memories and physical appearance with us. Good people go to the third realm, bad people go to the Astral plane but can progress to the third realm over time. The universe is governed by mind (called God) and your subconscious never dies, which is why we can communicate with Spirits.

Zoroastrianist

The Parsees (Zoroastrians ) do not cremate, bury or submerge their dead in water because they consider the dead to be impure, and their Zoroastrian faith does not permit them to defile any of the elements with them. This desert ritual, which originated along with their faith in Persia more than 3,000 years ago and regards death not as the work of God but of the devil, dictates that that the dead be left to vultures on hilltops.

Jehovahs Witness

Hell does not exist, it is symbolic: “the common grave of mankind." Most people simply cease to exist at death; they are annihilated. The Heavenly Kingdom was established in 1914 CE. A "little flock" or "Anointed Class" of about 135,400 people are believed by this group to currently inhabit Heaven. Another 8,600 are still alive and will also spend eternity with God at a later date. The battle of Armageddon will start soon. Jesus, under Jehovah's divine rage, will execute vengeance upon the rest of Christendom and followers of "Babylon the Great" (other religions). After the world is purified, a theocracy "God's Kingdom" will be established on earth for 1000 years. Those who survive Armageddon, the "other sheep," will live in peace in the newly created utopia. They will be joined by the worthy dead who have been resurrected. After 1000 years of God's Kingdom, Satan, his demon forces and all those rebellious ones who turn against God will be finally destroyed. In order to be saved, a person must accept the doctrines formulated by the Governing Body, be baptized as a Jehovah's Witness, and follow the program of works as laid out by the Governing Body

Mormon

Three heavens exist. The highest levels of the Celestial Kingdom are reserved for Mormon couples who have been married in a Mormon temple and thus have had their marriage sealed for eternity. The couples can eventually become a God and Goddess; the husband will then be in control of an entire universe. The Terrestrial Kingdom, is the destination for most individuals. The Terrestrial Kingdom is for "liars, and sorcerers, and adulterers, and whoremongers"

Hell exists, but very few people will stay there forever as most will eventually "pass into the terrestrial kingdom. the rest of people are cursed as 'sons of perdition', and will be consigned to partake of endless woe with the devil and his [fallen] angels." Sons of perdition have been defined as once devout Mormons who have become apostates and have left the church. Others define them as persons who have knowingly committed one of the most serious sins and have not repented and sought God's forgiveness. Among these almost unforgivable sins are murder and pre-marital sex.

Existential

The Existential system of beliefs is very simple - nothing comes after death. We simply cease to be. This creates what is known as the Existential dilemma. That is, our life becomes absurd and meaningless without an afterlife to strive toward. In fact, many believe that the genesis of contemporary religion can be found in the desire for purpose. Thus, the Existential person must try to find meaning in a life that is essentially meaningless and without end culmination

Roman Catholic

Hell is a location where inmates will be punished without any hope of relief, for eternity. Among those punished will be Satan, the angels that supported him, and persons who have died without having repented their sins. Sincere confession of a mortal sin to an authorized priest and making restitution if required, leads to absolution of the sin, and the avoidance of Hell. The level of punishment will be meted out in accordance with the seriousness of the individual's sin.

In Hell, punishment will be in the form of isolation from God, and some supernatural form of fire which causes endless pain but does not consume the body. The Church teaches that "the souls of those who have died in the state of grace suffer for a time a purging that prepares them to enter heaven." They spend time in Purgatory until fully cleansed of imperfections, venial (less serious) sins etc. Purgatory will be terminated at the time of the general judgement. The intensity and duration of the punishment can be reduced by friends and family, if they offer Masses, prayers "and other acts of piety and devotion." For babies who died unbaptized, they entered heaven after staying in limbo for a while.
